Jeremyism

We were walking into Meijer today, and ran into a teacher. She stated that she was enjoying her summer, especially now that summer school was over. As we were walking away, Jeremy made the comment, "Now there are two words that never belong together, summer and school!"

Happy Fodder's Day

For those who think that I am "picking" on Paula too much, I must disagree. She is constantly giving me new blog material, which if I were to post it all, I would be posting all day. So what you see here are really selected highlights.

Like yesterday, when we were discussing the blog. She told me that the blog would be nothing without her, to which I agreed, and told her that she was excellent "blog fodder." Her response and quizzical expression told me something, she didn't know what fodder was. So I explained, as fodder is food for cows that keeps them fat and healthy, she is a constant source of nutrition for my blog. So today, the blog is dedicated to her. Happy Fodder's Day, Honey. I love you!

Those annoying frogs!

It's almost time to take the cover off of the pool! That reminds me of last year's "unveiling." I wanted to move the pool over a bit, so we drained in and I had Paula out there to help me move it. She was on one end pulling and I on the other. Suddenly, she screams bloody murder! I rush over to see what had happened. It was awful! A frog had leapt out of the pool and landed on her arm. I had the presence of mind to say out loud to anyone who might have heard her cries, "It's okay, it was only a frog!" That's when I heard the neighbor's voice saying, "Thank goodness, I was just getting ready to call 911!" (And she was serious too!)

Just a little video to show how annoying those little pests can be.

Just Horsing Around...

Paula was discussing the type of medicine her dad has to take, you know, the "equestrian" medicine?

(Apparently, he is taking questran, so at least she was close!)

News Flash!

We interrupt this blog for an important announcement...

There have been NO NEW Paulaisms to report in the past 24 hours. We repeat...(just read it again so I don't have to type it over. But wait, wouldn't it have been easier to just type it over rather than type all of this? Sheesh!)

...we now return you to your regular blog.

Getting the power all the way there...

Paula is slightly technologically challenged. Like today, when she complained that the laptop computer kept turning off a few moments after booting up. I asked her if it was plugged in, and she said "Yes, I'm not stupid!"

I have now learned that I must not assume. Yes, the laptop was plugged in. But I forgot to mention step two: When plugged into a switched outlet, make sure the switch is on. Again, looks like it is my fault.

Robbing the cradle??

Seems the neighbor had noticed that our van had been gone, and wondered it Paula were sick. I told her no, that the van had been sick and was getting repaired. Paula went over to talk to her. The neighbor mentioned that she had not seen Paula or her husband lately, but had seen our son around some.

Thing is, our son is in Missouri. The person she had been seeing was me. Oops!

How much is that nugget in the window?

Okay, I have a dilemma. I really want to post the McNugget story, but Paula says no. So I will not post the McNugget story. (However, it is firmly etched in my memory, so you can always ask me about it.)
In lieu of the McNugget story, I have found this delightful video to entertain you. Enjoy!

Dominic's Birthday Party

Yesterday we were able to make it to the birthday party of Dominic, who is turning 7 soon. We had not been able to get together with this family in quite a while, so it was nice to be able to attend. Everyone had a great time!

Singing "Happy Birthday!"

Jeremy tries out the present he gave.
Dominic's Day takes some pictures
Sister Gianna wants in on the action
Brother Joseph wasn't always laughing!

How much thought does a hot dog deserve?

Not much!

Happy Birthday Dominic!
